My anxiety has been at one of it’s all time highs lately so when we got our house, I vowed that I would do whatever it took to keep it as low as possible. Myself, my husband and my babies deserved to not have a momma who is just constantly on edge 24/7. While I am taking supplements that have been helping tremendously, there are certain aspects of life that can send me into full blow anxiety attack.
I went down a hole one day one TikTok that showed all these cleaning and organizing videos and became fascinated with the idea of having everything all organized and not in bulky boxes. I believe it’s The Home Edit method but I have never actually read the books. I just know that watching the videos gave me this sense of calm and I decided right then and there that this was how I was going to organize my kitchen. And that is exactly what I did!
Everything shown here will be linked on my Like To Know It for easy location! I will be telling you where I did get mine but I have found either the exact same things or something similar for y’all! Also, I apologize for the shadowy photos, we don’t have the best distribution of lighting in the kitchen and with the cabinets so deep and tall it doesn’t get much light inside.
Storage Containers
First step is to get a ton of storage containers for all the things! I have quite a few different types but my favorite are definitely the OXO Pop ones. I have ones from Walmart as well as the Target brand which are both great but the Pop ones are definitely where it’s at.

Aside from those, you’ll wanna grab some of these below for your snack items. I grabbed these at Marshall’s and Homegoods for about $5 each. They have a ton in their home sections. We have very large and deep cabinets in our kitchen so the bottom two are designated for the kids and these are perfect to store all of their snacks in. I also used them in our fridge for items like go-gurts, cheese sticks, and our sandwich meat.

Fridge Organization and Storage

Again, I used those one containers for the kids snacks but I also have these super cute carafe containers that I keep orange juice and iced tea in. By doing this, we’re able to have more room in the fridge because it is small for our family and when you have big bulky bottles it makes it more difficult to store things. Things tend to get forgotten that way and I am totally speaking from experience!

I then have these deeper and skinnier containers that I keep their juice pouches and lunchables in. It makes it insanely simple for them to just grab and go out the fridge especially Adylee who is older and becoming more and more independent. I also have what I call drink storage containers that I put our jello, pudding and my little snacks in.

For the fruits, I wash them off and then put them in these silicone pouches that I got in the Target Dollar Spot. They usually come out every Summer as this is the second year that I have found them. They seem to be selling out quick this year though because I went back recently and they didn’t have any however, the Zip Top containers are pretty much the same idea.

Lastly, I have these super cute egg container that closes to keep them safe.
Again, I have all of this linked on my Like To Know It for you all!
Being able to physically see everything helps so much because you are able to know what you are exactly out of or running low on without having to guess.
I do have a couple things on my kitchen counter that are from the Target Dollar Spot and no longer sold that I keep rice and pancake/waffle mix it. I was able to find something SUPER CLOSE to it for y’all!

Of course, having my Rae Dunn that says exactly what it is helps as well for my coffee bar and a few things around the kitchen. Some of them are just for decoration though because who doesn’t love a good Rae Dunn product?
