This past weekend, we headed to our local Bowl AMF bowling alley, Sky Lanes, and spent two hours just spending time together and creating all the memories that we could as a family. Bowling has always played a huge part of my husbands life as he has been bowling in leagues for years and really enjoys sharing that part of his life with the kids and I. I, however, am not the hugest fan of bowling and feel like I do it wrong every single time so I go for the delicious pizza and nachos because food is my love language. But, this past Sunday was so great to get out there and bowl a game with the kids and get to watch their faces light up as they heard mommy was gonna compete with them for a game.

Let me just start off by saying that we try to take the kids bowling as often as we can but, we have recently fallen into the sports 24/7 schedule season of life and haven’t really been able to go as much as we used to. Robert bowls weekly on a league local to us and enjoys it but man, do the kids have meltdowns every time he leaves because they wanna go too. So, when Bowl AMF approached me to do a hosted event with them I jumped at the opportunity because I knew the kids would just love it and boy did they.

Sky Lanes
As I said above, we were hosted at Sky Lanes here in Orlando and it’s such a great facility. The entire staff was so nice and helped us out in any way they could. Sky Lanes is located on Orange Blossom Trail not too far from the Florida Mall and has 32 lanes of pure bowling fun! The little ramps that Gracelyn and Giovanni used were dinosaurs and I just thought that was so cute.

They also have a full sports bar & lounge that we didn’t get to see much of since we had the kids with us but I did catch a glimpse of a some people playing pool in a room next to the lanes. They also have a full menu of delicious food like Pizza, Chicken Sandwiches, Nachos, Loaded Fries, Mozzarella Sticks and more. We opted for a Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Nachos, Fries, and Mozzarella Sticks. All of it was seriously out of this world delicious. The kids couldn’t stop munching on it and at the end of our time there, I’m pretty sure we had one slice of pizza left. You can imagine how full we all were!

There is also a bowling shop located inside if you are in need of bowling shoes, a bowling ball, or to get your new ball’s holes drilled. Very pro like and again, they were just great staff wise.

We all can’t wait to head back to sky lanes really soon!
Bowling is one of those things that you can create new memories as a family every single time you go and we did just that. Each time, Adylee gets more competitive with Robert, Giovanni gets closer and closer to being able to bowl without needing the ramp, and Gracelyn gets to learn more about the game. It’s a new experience every single time and that’s one of the things that I love, as a mom, about bowling. Those memories will last forever and the kids will one day be grown up and look back and say, “my parents used to do this with me all the time” whenever they take their family out to a bowling alley. Bowling is a sport or activity that will just never die! So, the next time you are looking to do something with your family or significant other, look up your local Bowl AMF lane and have the best hour or two of your life.
