A few months ago, I told you about our love for Melon’s Party by Wondery. It’s a podcast that we listen to often in the car, around the house, etc. Well, now we have a new podcast that we have been listening to as well by Wondery called The Adventures of Cairo. This one Giovanni really gets into because he can relate to the character Cairo, a young curious boy who loves to explore the world around him. If you know Giovanni, you know that sounds like him!

The Adventures of Cairo follows seven year old Cairo Carter as he navigates the world around him. Being only seven, he still has a lot to learn about life like kindness, safety, and the value of a dollar even. However, he has the love and support of his family, friends and community to guide him on the right path. Plus, there’s fun to have along the way! There is never a dull moment when Cairo is on one of his many adventures!

We listen to new episodes every Tuesday and this is typically our heading to soccer practice entertainment. It gets Giovanni calmed down after a fun filled day at school so that he can focus on soccer but it also is getting him excited for the many things to come as he grows up. I just love watching the kids imagination run wild while they listen to Cairo navigate the big city and learn so many things. Plus, it’s a great way to put down the phones/tablets in the car and really have a family moment. After the episodes are finished, we then discuss what happened and why we think Cairo had to learn the lesson that he did. It’s such a great life skills learning tool!
Plus, the kids get a sense of diversity in The Adventures of Cairo as well which I absolutely love!
