I am always looking for fun and engaging things for the kids to listen to or watch. Nowadays, that can sometimes be harder than I would like but I recently stumbled upon Melon’s House Party on my Podcast app while I was looking for a podcast of my own and let me tell you, this is the perfect podcast for kiddos to listen to.

Melon’s House Party follows around a cute little 8 pound pup who lets us know that the world around us is full of wonder and adventure! Our everyday objects sing and speak in only a tune dogs can hear so we get to follow Melon around as she learns about herself and the world around her with some very important friends like a singing record player, a computer, a bookshelf who also doubles as her therapist and her very best friend in the world, couch. its new episodes out every Wednesday, every week is a new adventure with Melon.

Our family is trying to break away from the never ending supply of screen time and replace those hours with more educational fun and moments together as a family. Melon’s House Party is the perfect addition to that! I turn on Melon while I’m cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast or on our way to school in the car and it’s 30 minutes where my kids imagination gets to take over. 30 minutes where they have to listen and come up with what Melon and all her friends look like themselves. I’ve shown them a picture of course before of Melon but to my oldest who is 9, she’s a white puppy with a pink collar and a bow in her hair. To my son who is just about to turn 5, she is a black puppy who likes his his puppies at home. Their imagination gets to run wild and that is one of the things that I truly love the most about Melon.

Wondery Kids has created something super special here with the Melon’s House Party podcast! If you’re looking for something entertaining for the kids that also lets them have fun and use their imaginations while staying off a tablet or phone then this is the thing for you! Let those creative juices flow in the kids. Sometimes, I even catch myself dancing around to the songs when they are napping or at school. When we listen to Melon at home, we have a mini dance party to the songs. These are those moments we won’t ever get back again so I’m glad that Melon’s House Party gets to be a part of it for our family!
