Finding things to get for girls that are under 12 can sometimes prove to be a hard task. I have two little girls who are 2 (almost 3) and 9 years old. To say that we have a range of what to get each other would be an understatement. Gracelyn loves dolls while Adylee wants to just make videos for Youtube all day and do her makeup. When did they grow up so fast?
I have compiled a list of some things we are getting them each and a few other goodies for those who may be struggling like we were! Not to mention, Gracelyn’s birthday is just two short weeks after Christmas so its a struggle to decide what is good for Christmas and what is for her birthday.

Ideas for girls under 12
Our Generation Dolls – these are perfect for 3 and up! We ended up getting Gracelyn a doll and some cute accessories to go with it like clothes, a puppy, and even the ambulance because she always loves to fix “boo-boos.” These are the perfect gift for little girls who loved baby dolls as a toddler and are transitioning into that bigger doll stage. Adylee has always been a huge fan of the OG line from Target and so we thought it was the perfect time to get Gracelyn started with their amazing dolls that are also very inclusive!
Pop It’s – face it, these things are EVERYWHERE! Adylee has more than I can count on my two hands and she has even introduced her siblings to these things. So much so, that I keep one in my purse for when they are acting up and need a little calm down second to get out their frustrations. While I get insanely frustrated with them all over my house and the kids asking for a new one every time they see them in the store, I can say that they are very therapeutic.
Snap Pop Beads – this is such a cute set for that younger girl in your life (around 5-6) who wants to wear jewelry like mom. This is a whole box of fun little pieces that they can connect to make their own rings, necklaces and bracelets. It would keep your little one just entertained for hours!
DIY Bath Bomb – this is perfect for kids around Adylee’s age because it causes them to use their minds and is a STEM activity as well! It’s a learning lesson and they don’t even know it. We got this for Adylee and we just know that she is going to love it because she’s always asking me to get her those $5 bath bombs that are at Walmart of Five Below. The other day she even asked me for a LUSH one so I know this is something she will truly enjoy. Target also has a few different versions of the DIY bath bombs too like a galaxy inspired one.
Kitchen – this is such a great gift for little ones who love to do pretend play. Gracelyn is currently in that stage and even her teacher tells me how much she loves the kitchen area. Not to mention, she always wants to help me in the kitchen when I’m cooking. This is just the version we are going to get her because its so easy to customize this one with contact paper and make it super fun for her and to fit her personality. There are, of course, millions of ones that you can chose from. The perfect kitchen is out there for your little!
There it is! 5 ideas for the girl in your life 12 and under.
Now, I realize that some of these may be too young for your little girl and thats okay. I remember being 12 and still playing with Barbie’s sometimes. The internet was still new back then and I had to wait to go on it so it didn’t tie up the phone line too long. Showing my age here! But, regardless who says we can’t get our girls back to those days!
Thank you for this. my daughter is 7 years old, and I have no idea what to get her for Christmas. She said she wants dolls but she’s got too many dolls and she doesn’t play with them.
