Love the Halloween season and all things spooky? Want to combine that with your love for Disney but in the middle of the summer? I have got the place for you and it’s located at Disney Springs. It’s called Gideon’s Bakehouse and it is seriously the most amazing shop for desserts. Cookies, cakes and curiosities is their little motto and boy do they deliver.

Let me start off by saying, this place has a wait time! We got to Disney Springs on this particular day at 10:30 in the morning and instantly ran to their corner so that we could put our name on the list and wait for a text message to be called. The wait time? 2 hours and 10 minutes. Yeah, at 10:30 in the morning it was already that long. I will say, it was totally worth it. They also have another location in Orlando! I’m not sure how that one is when it comes to wait time but my guess would be that it’s definitely similar.
We got called in to line right at 2 hours and this girl ran from one end of the park to get to the line so that I didn’t forfeit my spot. I am so glad I did because by the time we got there, the wait time was up to 4 hours! I am telling you though, it’s totally worth the wait and the best part is that you can walk around Disney Springs while you wait. Which is exactly what we did and once it was time, there was no stopping me.

Once inside, you are instantly met with a dark room that is just full of all things spooky. I am just going to let the pictures speak for themselves here but I will tell you that I got instant Halloween vibes and it made me that much more ready for Fall and orange season. It was seriously nothing like I would’ve imagined. It was ten times better!

Their cookies and cakes aren’t just your typical size cookie that you may grab from say the local grocery store. Oh no! These babies are a 1/2 of pound and PACKED with chips. Just take a look at the few that we got below. We ended up getting a majority of their flavors with two special cookies for that month, White Chocolate Macadamia and the Coffee Cake. White Chocolate Macadamia is pictured below and oh my when I tell you this hits the ultimate sweet spot, I am not kidding. Their cake slices you ask? HUGE! But packed with sweetness. We aren’t cake people so we opted not to get them but ugh, they looked absolutely delicious. Especially their special PRIDE cake.

Flavors we got:
- Triple Chocolate
- Chocolate Chip
- White Chocolate Macadamia
- Peanut Butter Crunch
- Cookies & Cream
- Coffee Cake

They also have cold brews there and I tried the peanut butter cold brew. I personally am not the hugest fan of peanut butter but oh my, this cold brew was DELICIOUS!

I am gonna say it again, if you are wanting to just give yourself that Halloween vibe but not just around October then this is the place you need to go! My friends have told me it’s all things spooky and good but, I didn’t believe them. Now? I am already planning my next trip there! Even my husband was in love with the inside and their Peanut Butter Crunch cookie. Totally worth the long wait and definitely one of our new favorite dessert spots in Disney Springs!
