Remember how I said that I love to go all out for holidays? Yup, I had to do a fun occasion basket for the Fourth of July now that we are in our own home. That has to be one of my favorite things about being in our own home is that I can decorate every single inch of it for the upcoming holiday and I so did that for the Fourth which also happens to be our first holiday in our new home.
Let’s Get Into the Basket
I grabbed this basket from Homegoods after inspiration hit me and I decided to rearrange and change out a majority of my decor in my kitchen. I got rid of a lot of the random Rae Dunn and settled on a more minimal vibe on the counters. Don’t worry, I still have all my mugs and plan to only buy mugs and things I really, really want instead of everything single thing that has a Dunn stamp on it. But, thats not what this is about!

I then filled it with all kinds of goodies from all the stores that I had been collecting as the stores put out decor. It’s a whole lot easier to do it that way then to scramble last minute for pieces and not be able to find everything you need. I learned that the hard way during Halloween and Fall last year so I began grabbing as much of the holiday decor as I can now while it’s still out. Even if it is insanely early! Just a little tip there for ya.

What’s Inside the Fourth of July Basket?
There’s all kinds of goodies!
- Plates from Walmart
- Napkins from both Walmart and Target
- Glasses for the kids from the Target Dollar Spot
- Fun star shaped tumblers from Walmart
- Reusable straws from Homegoods
- USA banner & balloons from Target
- Stars & Stripes cups from Amazon (perfect for drinks or snacks)
- HERSHEY’S Red, White & Blue Chocolate
- Baskets for hot dogs from Target
- Fun headband that says USA from Target
- Rae Dunn spatula from Marshall’s
- Star towel from Target Dollar Spot
Yes, that ALL fit into that little basket! Isn’t it just so cute? The best part is that all of it is super affordable! You don’t have to spend a ton for cute decor pieces.
I can’t wait to decorate one for Halloween/Fall, Christmas, and everything in between!
