Everything comes full circle
I remember being in middle school in the early 2000’s and my mom telling me that as she bought me bell bottom jeans at the mall. I didn’t know what she meant because all I knew was that this is what was in style and I wanted it. Now, at 30 I’m seeing things that I wore back then coming back and I am fully aware of what that means. The 90’s look is back and I’m totally okay with that minus certain things (let’s leave low rise jeans in the past please).
All the florals and mom jeans
I recently decided to stroll through Target and take some pictures of everything that’s coming back into style. Mom jeans? Check. Florals? Check. Tie-dye? Check.

There’s even some major 90’s vibes in the kids section too. I’m 99% sure that I had something similar to these when I was a kid. It’s insane how my daughter who is currently 8 is now wanting to dress and wear things that I wore. It’s like looking in a mirror.

I mean, hello we have scrunchies and butterfly clips here! Anyone else used to always wear their hair in those butterfly clip twists?

Also, can we talk about these super cute little bags that are back in style too?

I hate to admit I rebelled HARD against this trend.
I was not here for the mom jeans and this “let’s bring back the 90’s” trend that was happening. I personally like my high waisted skinny jeans and would like to stick to making sure the fupa is tucked in. However, I’m a content creator and sometimes that means I have to stay on trend.
So, I bought my first pair at Marshall’s while Dunn hunting and instantly fell in love. Mine have a stretchy waist band to kind of give it that paper bag feel which is perfect for this total mom bod that I have going on right now and trying to learn to love.
However, I don’t wear them too often because I still gravitate towards my high waisted skinny’s. I know, I know. Eventually I’ll make the total switch over I’m sure but for right now I just can’t find another pair that I’m in love with as much as the ones I got randomly at Marshall’s. However, I have heard that these at Target are a must have and they must be because I haven’t been able to find my size online or in store at all.

Also, can we talk about the overalls trend coming back too? Overalls were totally my jam when I was a kid.

Let’s not forget that graphic tee’s are a must have when it comes to pairing it with mom jeans, mom shorts or really anything 90’s.

Food from the 90’s is making a comeback too
You recently saw where I made a copy-cat Dunkaroo Dip only to then find them in actual stores! One of my favorite snacks as a kid is totally back and THAT I am here for. Another snack that I used to love back in the day was the Doritos 3D. There was nothing like it, crunchy yet the same Doritos taste we love in a fun little puffed up way. Guess what? They’re back too!

Everything truly is coming full circle
The clothes are back, some of our favorite food is back and this is exactly what my momma said would happen. It all comes full circle and now my kids get to experience some of the best snacks, clothes, accessories, etc that made up my childhood.
Love the 90s the 70s is a strong second
Great post! So my mommy who was a teenager in the 70s, she called bell bottoms, they were called hipsters in her day. I’ve been seeing clothes from my middle school years come back. Wow time does bring about a change
