Y’all know I love a good chocolate covered anything recipe and here I am with a yummy and EASY recipe for chocolate covered Oreos. After making the hot cocoa bombs and seeing how fun they were, I decided to take the plunge into all things chocolate covered and bought some silicone molds for chocolate covered Oreos and also cakesicles.
This was such a fun experience and they’re so easy to make plus the kids love them just as much as I do! Win-win there. I do have one tip! Make sure to really put a lot inside the mold before putting the cookie in so you can make sure that the entire cookie is covered. I did not do that with my first batch and I had a lot come out with the chocolate split in half and exposing the entire Oreo all the way around on the sides.
Let’s get started with what you’ll need!

Easy Chocolate Covered Oreos
- Melting Chocolate (any color)
- Oreos
- Silicone mold
Melt the melting chooclate in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments. Stirring every time until melted.
Place some chocolate in the bottom of the silicone mold. Cover completely.
Place Oreo on top
Cover with more chocolate and place in freezer for 3-5 hours.

Once they were completely frozen, I took them out of the mold and then laid down on parchment paper. I heated up some more of the chocolate and then drizzled it over the top.

Not going to lie, this was probably the most delicious of the chocolate dipped things I have made so far! They are just the right snack size to even put in your child’s or loved ones lunch boxes as a special little treat on Valentine’s Day.

They certainly did not last long after I took photos as everyone grabbed one!
Totally need to do this for my daughter this year. She loves Oreos.
