Stockings can easily be your favorite and most hated part about Christmas Eve. I tend to go between both feelings just because when the kids are younger, it can be hard to come up with cute ideas for them! Usually during their first and mostly second Christmas, they like Puffs or something similar and they like cute little light up baby toys. But, as they hit that third Christmas, it becomes a teeny bit harder to find things for them. That’s where I’m at with Giovanni and although this is Gracelyn’s second Christmas she just doesn’t love things that typical one year old girls love (except for babies. alllllll the babies for her).
I wanna touch on these super cute cable knit stockings that I got at Target! They are a total dream come true for me when it comes to what I wanted my Christmas tree corner to look like! I originally wanted a white or cream color but the gray just stands out and looks oh so perfect here. Linking them here for you if you wanna grab them for yourself! Also, they hold A LOT.
I struggled finding cute stocking stuffer ideas for Gracelyn and Giovanni this year however Adylee was a breeze! She’s 8 and so therefore, she’s into everything I am. Starbucks, nails, Target, hair colors that are funky, etc. So it was just a walk down the cosmetic aisle for her and then threw in some stuff to match her brother and sister as well because hello, matching is the best part!!
Gracelyn and Giovanni, I wandered the aisles forever trying to come up with stuff and I’m not exaggerating. I went down each toy aisle at Walmart and Target probably a good ten times before I decided that bath stuff was safe for both. I grabbed Giovanni a Ryan’s World figurine and some Dino’s cause he’s really into both. I plan on grabbing him a couple Monster Jam trucks but they were out so I’ll have to go back and get them. Gracelyn loves baby dolls and brushing her “Moana hair” so, I grabbed her a tiny brush and a soft baby. Figured it was easy enough! Santa is bringing Gracelyn her first Baby Alive baby so I’ll probably end up grabbing some diapers for it along with a fake baby bottle for her as well.
This year was definitely the year of simplicity when it comes to certain gifts and even their stocking stuffers. We are forced to live a minimalist lifestyle right now but, I have to say I am enjoying it!
