Holidays bring people together and this is one of those recipes that my family always makes when we do get together! It’s an adult egg nog if you will but, I have always known it to be called Coquito. I, personally, don’t like the taste of egg nog so I tend to pass on this commemorative toast every year and just say “cheers” with a Truly or a glass of something. This is definitely super easy to make and just a teeny bit goes a long way. My mom tends to make it right before Thanksgiving and the bottle lasts us until Christmas time. Sometimes we have to make 2 bottles but hey that just means it can last longer! As long as you keep it air tight in the bottle and always chilled in the fridge, you are good to go!

Coquito
- 1 carton Southern Comfort Egg Nog
- 1/4 cup Light Rum
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
Pour the Southern Comfort Egg Nog into glass bottle. This is where you will store the drink.
Add in the 1/4 cup of rum. Stir thoroughly
Add in 2 cinnamon sticks whole. Stir thoroughly.
Top with ground cinnamon. Put the top on the bottle and store in fridge.
Serve chilled.

Like I said, super simple and just a tiny bit can go a long way. If you are an egg nog person then I totally suggest making this for the adults in your family! It’s been a tradition in my dads family for a long time and now he has passed it on down to all of us and it’s one in ours as well. Traditions are such a beautiful thing at this time of year!
