Did you know that September is National Self Improvement Month? Yeah, I didn’t either until recently and that made me wanna share with y’all some of my goals for this month. I’ve been on such a driven journey for the last few months to get myself healthier and eating better that its snowballed into all these goals for myself and my family. I wanna share a few with y’all!
- Continue to eat healthier and workout consistently. If you saw my story on Instagram recently, you know that I have lost 20 pounds and an insane amount of inches from a meal plan and workouts. It has been so empowering watching myself become a woman who I always knew I could be but just never let myself be. I spent too long hating what I looked like that it started to effect how Adylee looks at herself and that woke me up. So, that is one goal that I plan on continuing into this month.
- Get dressed. This may seem like nothing to some but to me, it’s everything. My depression can hit me like a ton of bricks at any moment and during those times, I don’t get dressed out of pajamas and I wanna try to combat that by getting dressed every morning after my workout.
- More self care. This is another big one for me and kind of goes with the getting dressed but so many things can trickle down from you pouring from an empty cup. In order for me to be a better mom, wife, daughter, friend, sister…I have to fill up my cup and that begins with me doing more self care. Whether it’s a face mask, walking around Target, getting a pedicure, date nights/days with my husband.
These are just the most important goals for me this month to really work on myself and my mental health. Do you have any goals you will be working toward?
