I’m writing to you today as someone who has made it through the hard times. Someone who survived the abuse and had a rocky start to adulthood but now, we’re okay. You have three beautiful babies and a husband who may drive you insane most of the time but, loves you something fierce.
Let me start by saying, that relationship you’re in right now is not love. He doesn’t love you and he doesn’t get you. It’s not forever and although it may seem like it because you gave him something you can never take back, I promise you…it won’t. The abuse is not okay and you are worth more than he tells you that you are. You are worth more than the smacks to the face for not doing his laundry the right way. You are worth more than being told “you are just a fat piece of crap.” You are just plain worth MORE!
It’s gonna take some time to heal from it all but once you do, oh the outcome is beautiful. You’ll start to see yourself again. It’s hard to get past some things as he will give you some very crippling issues that will get worse over time before they get better but, you make it out. Just know you make it out.
You will find God, find yourself and become a mother. You will experience such unconditional love like you’ve never known. It’s all gonna be okay, kid. You’re stronger, wiser and one hell of a person because of the things you went through. Each day….you get a little bit stronger than the day before.
