This past week I was given the amazing opportunity to go to Chicago for the Itzy Ritzy and Chelsea Houska/Cole Deboer Launch & Listen party. It was an absolute dream come true and I still am reliving it in my mind.
Let me just start by saying this, having been a Chelsea fan from her 16 & Pregnant episode, I was extremely excited when I received the email to go. I actually dropped my phone, got butterflies and texted my husband immediately who then told me that we were going to do whatever it took for me to get to Chicago so that I could meet her.
And we did just that…18 hours in the car with a 6 year old, 2 year old and 7 month old.
We got to Chicago 2 hours before the launch party was set to start and I instantly got ready and headed out to the event. When you enter Summer House Santa Monica, you are instantly met with a gorgeous open area and lots of light.
After chatting with a few girls who won the contest, we were greeted and asked for drink orders while we waited for MTV to get there and mic everyone up that they needed to. MTV y’all! I started off with a mimosa and ended up having the signature cocktail of the night, South Dakota Sunrise.
Upon entering the room, you instantly just get this backyard vibe with the seating and lights but you’re still inside. It was breathtaking. The fun set up that they had for the entire party was also gorgeous with the Chelsea and Cole logo mixed with the Itzy Ritzy name.
After some light mingling, MTV rushed in the room and you just knew that they were about to appear. Chelsea and Cole came up to me and a couple other girls instantly and started talking. I was shaking like a leaf because she was literally right in front of me! I told her that I came all the way from Florida and she hugged me and said “shut up”. We laughed and then she went to meet everyone else.
After a bit, they announced the new product of the collaboration which was a new crossbody in a camel color. If you haven’t ordered yet, I suggest you RUN and get it because the second wave is live now.
Itzy Ritzy then revealed an original song that they had written for Chelsea and Cole called South Dakota Sunrise. It was such a cute song about their love story. You could see the love as well as they sat together listening to it and holding hands. It’s now streaming on Spotify!

We then were able to grab some pictures with Chelsea and Cole as well as mingle a bit. It was such a low key event and I was able to talk to them both so freely. They make you feel like they have known you forever and that they aren’t a celebrity at all. Just two normal people who happen to have cameras follow them around. I am so glad that they are the same way that they appear on TV!
I didn’t want the night to end but unfortunately it had to. We were gifted a gorgeous black mini bag that had a teething fox mitt, a snack bag and a pack of their sweetie soothers! I was so excited to get a new bag even though the Chelsea boss bag owns my heart!
Itzy Ritzy sure knows how to throw a launch party! I am so thankful to them for allowing me to come up to Chicago and attend this event. Not only did I meet some sweet people who are just fans of the brand but also the entire Itzy Ritzy staff is just so sweet! I got to talk to Kelly, the owner, as if we were just two girls chatting it up and the same goes for Barbara!
Not to mention, meeting Chelsea and Cole was the highlight of all highlights. I will never forget this for as long as I live!
[…] As you know from my previous blog post, my favorite diaper bag of all time is my Itzy Ritzy boss bag which is also an exclusive from their line with Chelsea Houska from Teen Mom 2 (check out my other blog post on that amazing experience http://kimmymanzo.home.blog/2019/08/12/itzy-ritzy-x-chelsea-houska-cole-deboer-launch-party/) […]
